The capital city of the state, Jaipur is also the largest city in the princely state of Rajasthan. This city is also known as “The Pink City” because of the distinctive saffron or the pink colour of the buildings, shops and other major monument.   1. Udaipur :-

Udaipur also termed as the Venice of the East is also known by its common moniker, the city of lakes.  The city is the capital of SisodiyaRajputs of Mewar and is famous for its places that amplifies the pure Rajputana culture. This holy city is lying in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan.  This town is also known as the city of Pilgrims and is located at the shores of PushkarLake. There is a story behind the river that the river is created by the tears of Lord Shiva and this is one of the oldest cities of India whose origin is not yet confirmed. The lake is considered to be one of the most scared lake and thousands of devotees come to take bath.
